Sand and Gravel Pump Delivered to Cote d’Ivoire for Sand Pumping

Sand and gravel pump, also known as large particle pump, gravel pump, sand pumping equipment, is a modified version of sand pump according to the same kind of products from Australia. Sand and gravel pump is mainly used in dredging project with high over-flow requirements. Sand and gravel pump is suitable for extracting pebbles, stones, domestic garbage, coarse sand and other large particle media. The sand and gravel pump was originally used in industrial and mining enterprises, and later developed into river channel dredging, sand pumping and embankment projects.

Sand and gravel pump has wide flow passage because of unique three-blade impeller; the sand and gravel pump casing and impeller is thickened; over-flow parts are made of high chromium alloy. All of the features ensure that the sand and gravel pump can run stably in long life span and high efficiency.

The sand and gravel pump is not suitable for all working conditions. The sand and gravel pump has less blades and smaller outside diameter of impeller. Comparing with marine sand pump and high head slurry pump, the shaft power of gravel pump is lower. So under the same power ratio, the output of sand and gravel pump is lower than the other two pump types. So the customer needs to consider during the selection process.

In June 2018, a customer from Cote d’Ivoire contacted the foreign trade manager of Ocean Pump. He required the sand and gravel pump should has the following features.

1. The material should be wear resistant alloy. He has used sand pumping machine made in Guangdong, China for river sand pumping, the performance is good, but the wear is faster.

2. Wide flow passage. There were pebbles and other large particles in the river.

3. The customer had a set of Perkins diesel engine 550kw/1500rpm in hand, he supplied flywheel size. We shoule match gear box for him.

4. We should supply supra polymer PE discharging pipes and PE floaters.

5. He required a steel discharge extension. He wanted to separate flow at the end of the pipe, so we designed a “Y”type extension which was matched with valve to control the flow of water.

The requirements of Cote d’Ivoire’s customer were relatively clear. After our engineers’ professional consultation, we chose ZS400 large particle sand and gravel pump and Hangzhou 600 type 3.5:1 gear box. The customer gave us the diesel engine dimensions size and flywheel size. Then we designed the base and gearbox according to the size. After confirmed all the data, we signed the contract. The customer also purchased some products from other factories in China, these products were delivered to our factory and shipped into the same container with the sand and gravel pump. By this way, the customer save sea freight. The goods were shipped in September, and Our customer was very satisfied with our excellent service and professional knowledge.

When packing, the customer arranged an inspector to supervise the container loading. The inspector checked the quality and quantity of the goods. Everything was in accordance with the contract.
