In Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee, Blastoise, a Poké Ball Pokémon, uses Hydro Pump to damage and push away opposing fighters. There are multiple blasts and they can not be reflected.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, Blastoise is replaced with Kyogre; however, Kyogre's water blasts do not damage opponents.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Squirtle uses Hydro Pump as part of Pokémon Trainer's Final Smash, Triple Finish.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Hydro Pump appears as Greninja's up special move. Greninja propels itself using two Hydro Pumps, which can also push opponents back. Since there are two Hydro Pumps, Greninja can move in two different directions if two directions are inputted.

Pokémon UNITE
In Pokémon UNITE, Hydro Pump is Blastoise's first move. It is obtained by evolving into Wartortle stage at level 5 and upgrading Water Gun into it instead of Water Spout. The user shoots a large amount of water; damaging, knocking back, and stunning enemies hit for .5s. At level 11, its damage increases.

Trivia
- The move's name is incorrectly formatted as Hydropump in several Kids' WB! promos.
- In 3D games before Pokémon X and Y, when Blastoise uses this move two streams are fired at the target, whereas every other Pokémon only has one stream. Starting in Pokémon X and Y, Blastoise only has one stream.
- Since Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, the move has the same sound effect as it originally did in Generation I.
